Another thing I've learned is that I cannot draw for a long time outside if it is too cold. At least not standing in one location. So no longer drawing times than 15-20 minutes. This one I completed at home from a photo I took as reference on location.
I am not happy with a couple of things:
- I don't like my new bamboo stylus. The old one I had was great, but the new one isn't as nice as the old one. I think I'll have to hunt on eBay for the old version. It just worked better with my tablet.
- I'm still not really happy with my color choices. I'm torn between using colors that are as close to reality as possible - and working with a limited palette and choosing colors according to a color scheme on the other side. I think I went with a good compromise with this one. It has a reddish brown/blue contrast which works great and is still pretty close to the real colors. Or so I hope.
- I'm not happy with any of my art apps. Each one has its advantages and each one its drawbacks. I do not like the brushes in anyone of them. Also I wished it would be easier to resize the canvas in all of those apps. Maybe I just need to get more used to those apps.
